A Dreamy Escape to Punta Cana with This Latina Travels

Introduction:

Embark on a journey of luxury, romance, and dreams as I share my latest adventure in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. I am Bianca, the voice behind “This Latina Travels,” a podcast that explores travel through the eyes of a First Generation Latina traveler and college grad. Join me as I recount my firsthand travel experiences, providing insights to inspire your own global adventures.

Choosing the Perfect Resort:

Punta Cana is a haven for resorts, offering an array of all-inclusive options that cater to every taste and budget. To guide your selection process, consider key questions:

1. What is my budget? Pricing varies among resorts, so it’s crucial to align with your financial plan.

2. What are your non-negotiables? Specify preferences such as adults-only accommodations or a lively party scene.

3. What type of scene are you looking for? Decide between a vibrant, party-focused resort or a more relaxed beachfront setting.

Our Chosen Oasis – Sanctuary

Our chosen retreat, Sanctuary, an all-inclusive Marriott property, proved to be an absolute gem. With the ability to use Marriott points or rewards, this resort offered a truly serene ambiance reminiscent of a spa. Boasting six dreamy pools, a private beach, daily activities, nightly entertainment, unlimited drinks, and five high-end restaurants, Sanctuary exceeded expectations. While this recommendation is not sponsored, it certainly deserves recognition!

Making the Most of Your Stay:

While planning our trip, we opted to maximize our time at the resort and only planned one excursion to Isla Saona. However, we found it to be less ideal for our relaxation-focused trip, given its party atmosphere and crowded conditions. A valuable travel tip is to always compare prices for excursions using platforms like Viator, Get Your Guide, and Airbnb Experiences.

Travel Tips:

For an all-inclusive resort experience, bring some cash, including smaller bills for tipping, though not obligatory, is greatly appreciated. Additionally, secure reservations for any desired restaurants during the check-in process. This ensures you won’t miss out on exceptional dining experiences, like our memorable meals at the hibachi and Italian restaurants in our resort.
