Attending the Plutus Awards Summit was one of the most meaningful milestones in my journey as the founder of This Latina Travels. Not only did I have the opportunity to attend a space filled with inspiring creators, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders, but I also had the honor of pitching TLT on stage, sharing the heart behind my platform, my community, and the mission that continues to guide my work! As a first-generation Latina creator based in Puerto Rico, standing on that stage meant so much more than presenting a brand. It represented years of consistency, storytelling, community-building, and believing in a vision that started with simply wanting to see more representation in travel spaces.
Plutus reminded me that TLT belongs in these rooms. The experience gave me confidence, meaningful connections, and motivation to continue building a platform that uplifts culture, supports local communities, and empowers others to pursue purpose through travel and storytelling.
And yes, I am proud Latina and we speak with our hands…
