Join me on a day trip to the northwest of Puerto Rico! This Latina Travels to Arecibo, Puerto Rico.
Day Trip:
If you are ready to witness stunning sunsets and indulge in delicious food, make sure to take a trip to Arecibo, Puerto Rico, about an hour from the metro area of San Juan.
I visited my amiga who was staying at a perfect Airbnb location, within walking distance to the beach boardwalk and amazing food. If you’re looking for a locally-owned Airbnb in Arecibo, check out this LINK.
What I loved about this Airbnb was that it was spacious, accommodating up to 5 people. It has a cute terrace with an ocean view, a grill and cooler ready for your use, and is in a totally safe neighborhood. Plus, it’s pet-friendly!
Indulging in Local Cuisine:
One of my favorite parts of traveling is discovering new culinary delights, and Arecibo did not disappoint!
La Jolla Restaurant: Featuring a California vibe, casual yet refined! A must-visit if you find yourself in Arecibo. I loved the service, drinks, and food—everything was delicious. I’m still dreaming about the soup.
Ocean View Food Truck: This place is a must-visit and offers so many options! There’s free parking, but bring cash or ATH Mobile. The view is truly gorgeous. I recommend visiting during the daytime to take advantage of the stunning ocean views and support local vendors. Below are two amazing spots I tried and highly recommend:
